Toddler Program
(16 months to 2.5 years)

     Our Toddler Program was created for children aged 18 months to 2.5 years of age. Children can look forward to coming to the center where they will feel the environment is an extension of their home. Where staff build bonds with families as well as the children, creating a sense of community and where learning happens through play. Weekly lesson plans are built upon the ideas and interests of the children, while also fostering the development of skills and developmental milestones. Our classroom and lesson plans are designed to help children gain independence. These lesson plans come to life through various activities that center around gatherings, problem-solving and cognitive activities, art, science, sensory and exploration experiences, dramatic play, quiet activities and outdoor experiences and excursions. At this tender age, there’s no such thing as too much love, too many hugs or too many giggles and at Shining Stars you can trust that there is no shortage of love and learning to go around.
